WELCOME
to the New York State Alpine Masters. Masters ski racing is the premier
adult ski racing series in the country. We are governed by United States
Ski Association (USSA), the sanctioning body in the U.S. for organized
ski racing at all levels from juniors up through international and Olympic
competition.

For adult, NASTAR, club racers, and good skiers in general, Masters ski racing
provides challenging competition within an atmosphere of fun and camaraderie. We
welcome racers of all levels – from beginners who enjoy exciting race courses,
to former college racers and Olympians, and everyone in between. Racers range in
age from 21 to over 80 years old, competing in five-year age groups (25-29,
30-34, 35-40, etc.). The competition is exhilarating!
New York State Masters
races are held at ski areas in central and western New York State. Most race
days consist of 2 complete races (4 runs) and are usually completed in early
afternoon, leaving plenty of time for free skiing and an awards party. View the
detailed 2007-08 race schedule.
With about 60 racers attending most events, there is little standing around and
lots of time to hone your skills on the race course. You will find a group of
people who enjoy the thrill of going fast, and are eager to welcome new racers
to the fun and challenge of alpine racing. Our racers go out of their way to
make every racer’s experience enjoyable, by offering advice and encouragement to
all. We socialize on and off the slopes, even in the summer!
Join us for one or several
races this season. Find out how to register now.
