How to Join USSA

There is no membership requirement for New York State Masters. However, because our races are sanctioned by USSA (United States Ski and Snowboard Association), to be eligible to race, you must have a USSA membership. A temporary USSA license is always available at every race and is valid for the entire weekend of racing.  Note: a temporary membership can only be used twice in any given race season.  The temporary license fee is $25. This is a great way to sample racing before committing to a full license.

The full USSA license is $90 and allows you to ski in as many races in a season as you wish.  It is also required in order to compete in the Regional Championship and National Championship.  But wait! There's more... with your membership you get a 1-year subscription of Ski Racing Magazine with all the latest news in snow sports.

Race Registration

Entries the same day of the race are always accepted. We prefer that you send in a race registration form in advance, because the registration table can be very busy the morning of the race. Race fees are collected the day of the race. The fees usually range from $40-$50 per day and include the race entry fee and lift ticket. A discounted fee is available if you already hold a pass at the ski area.

So... to participate in an upcoming race, be sure to fill out your Race Entry Form and bring it with you to the race OR mail it to the contacts.
